Team Member Conference Call Script
Roman Ross
December 7, 2007

Good Afternoon,

Thank you for joining me on such short notice. I requested this call because I want to personally share company news that has just been finalized.

CompUSAs strong heritage spans more than two decades, in which the company became a leading force in the CE industry. As you are well aware, we have worked very hard over the past year towards our goals, and have made significant strides. I am very proud of the progress we have made together. However, despite our best efforts; the difficult environment and consumers changing shopping behaviors requires a change of direction.

Today we are announcing that Specialty Equity, a subsidiary of Gordon Brothers Group, is acquiring all interests in CompUSA. Gordon Brothers is a global advisory, restructuring and investment firm specializing in retail and consumer products.

We have a lot of things to be proud of. Topping the list is CompUSA TechPro, our technical services organization. We have a strong technical services model with a talented workforce and a loyal customer base. We satisfy thousands of customers every day. The company has seen more than 100 percent year-over-year growth for its technical services division. This is something to take great pride in.

In addition to our highly-regarded technical services, we also have one of the industrys leading online businesses with CompUSA.com. We have a strong online presence, with more than 80,000 products and online technical support. CompUSA.com is well-positioned for the changing consumer shopping behaviors.

But all of this would not be possible without our talented and committed employee base, in particular those employees in our stores who enthusiastically serve our customers. Ive received personal compliments from major companies commenting on our highly-skilled workforce and excellent customer service. I applaud your efforts.

Because of these successes, certain of our operations will continue, ensuring CompUSAs strong heritage and legacy lives on. Our plan is to market and sell CompUSA TechPro, CompUSA.com and a number of stores in key markets as active and ongoing businesses. We will continue to operate CompUSA TechPro and CompUSA.com until any sale transactions are closed.

The remaining CompUSA businesses will begin an orderly wind-down. I strongly encourage all of you to stay focused since all CompUSAs 103 retail stores will continue to operate during the holiday season. All normal payroll and benefits will remain in place for all employees and individual employee communications will be sent to you shortly. If you have any immediate concerns, please contact the Human Resources Department directly.

Moving forward, I will serve in an executive advisory capacity during the transition period. Stephen Gray, Managing Partner of the restructuring firm, CRG Partners, will serve as Chief Restructuring Officer. He and his colleagues will be onsite in Dallas and I ask that you give them your complete support during this transition.

I am sure you will also be receiving questions from vendors, creditors and customers for which you will not have answers. Members of the management team and staff of CRG Partners will be working with each store and department on these details shortly. In the meantime, please raise any immediate concerns with your supervisor or the CRG team.

I have greatly enjoyed working and getting to know many of you personally.

Thank you very much for your dedication and hard work. Regional Directors and General Store Managers, please communicate this message to your store associates, just as I have with you.

Kinda sucks in a way. Every one here knew it was coming but, deep down we didn't want it. It means the end of a job, and for some of us a career, friendships, a place to hang out, shop, play COD4 instead of working, and so many other things. I may have said that this company was a piece of shit and I still believe that but, it was the people that I work with that made it tolerable. Most of us will go our separate ways to never see each other again and some of us will keep in contact and maybe even work together someday. For the next few weeks that we have together will suck. There will be so much running around, cleaning and general hub-bub with this closing. And I know that most of us will leave before we close. I for one may have a job at Circuit City as a technician. But, if that falls through I am gonna see this thing through to the end. Plus, if I do I get a severance package, can collect benefits, and a few other things while I try to look for an other job in February.

Tonight we had Liquidators come in and take over the store. I was only there for a bit helping clean before they showed up (which, as of when I left they never did). Yes on my only day off I was at work instead of enjoying my day off. *sigh*

God help us and God speed to every one with this company.

On another note we will be getting some kick ass deals and stuffs. I bet most of us will spend our money on this stuff instead of saving up for the road to come.

'Cause nobody wants to do it on their own
And everyone wants to know they're not alone
There's somebody else that feels the same somewhere
There's gotta be somebody for me out there
